The Truth in the Lye

Starting my first Hub, I will make declarations of the profound depth to which John Saul reaches in his novels. While I've always considered my writing to be "Poe-like", I found a familiarity within Saul's pages. Darkness consumes as the bile retreats from a scorched throat; suffering knows no bounds. This world we reside in has many positive and beautiful stories, what of the dark ones? What happens to the bleeding hatred that so many of us delve into? I ask you all to find a source of darkness within yourselves, feed on it's sheer pain. Whether it is :abuse, self harm, murder, or just plain old self hatred.....Disappear into your darkest moment and find your source of evil within yourself. One never knows what will resurface, who will resurface.
